Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation
Our vision is a packaging value chain that collaborates to keep packaging materials out of landfill and retains the maximum value of the materials, energy and labour within the local economy.
Recycled Content Program
Australia is committed to achieving a Target of an average of 50% recycled content across all packaging and transitioning to a circular economy. Ensuring packaging is successfully recovered and used again as recycled content, at its highest potential value for as long as possible, is our collective goal.
2025 National Packaging Targets
Established in 2018, the 2025 National Packaging Targets define the sustainable pathway for how Australia will manage its packaging waste.
ANZPAC Plastics Pact
APCO is leading the development of the ANZPAC Plastics Pact, a regional pact within the Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s Global Plastics Pact Network.
The Australasian Recycling Label Program
The Australasian Recycling Label Program is an on-pack labelling scheme that is helping consumers to recycle correctly and supporting brand owners to design packaging that is recyclable at end-of-life.
