The Australasian Recycling Label Program for Small-to-Medium Enterprises
The SME ARL Campaign is a new program designed to support small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to make the switch to using the Australasian Recycling Label (ARL).
The SME ARL Campaign aims to raise awareness among SMEs about the benefits of adopting the ARL on their packaging. Through the campaign, APCO aims to grow the community of hundreds of businesses who are already providing accurate recycling information to Australian consumers.
The campaign will be delivered in close partnership with the Australian Institute of Packaging (AIP), the National Retail Association (NRA) and the Australian Food and Grocery Council (AFGC). The project received grant funding from the Australian Government, to support SMEs to improve the sustainability of their packaging and to adopt the ARL.
One of the core features of the campaign is the ARL Marketplace – a dedicated educational platform covering everything SMEs need to know about the ARL and sustainable packaging.
The ARL Marketplace is a one-stop-shop for free educational tools and resources designed to help small businesses take action to improve the sustainability of their packaging. Through the site businesses can access fact sheets, toolkits, action guides and a series of free online training videos.
