What's on this year?
The Future of Packaging Workshop (1:00 PM - 5:15 PM AEDT)
Facilitated by Jodie Bricout, one of Australia’s leading circular economy experts, an interactive workshop will be taking place, designed to encourage collaboration and networking amongst industry peers. Workshop attendees will be given an in-person opportunity to contribute and advise on the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats to their industry (and their individual businesses) in the context of a changing packaging landscape in Australia. Feedback obtained from this session will be shared with DCCEEW.
Those invited to the workshop include:
Hon. Minister Tanya Plibersek to provide insights into governments' priorities and focus for packaging reform, including governments’ expectations of industry and how industry will be supported to deliver the required outcomes.
Jane Cronin, Director – Packaging Policy and Reform, Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW). Jane is leading consultation on the reform process on behalf of the Commonwealth and state and territory governments and will provide insights into the consultation process on mandatory design rules and the legislative framework to replace the existing National Environment Protection Measures (NEPM) and Covenant.
Networking Hour (5.30 PM - 6.30 PM AEDT)
Join us for drinks and canapes by the marina, for our networking hour hosted by APCO and our partner, the Banksia Foundation. The Annual Awards are where the best in the industry come together to celebrate and drive positive change. By building relationships, exchanging ideas, and discovering new opportunities for collaboration and growth, you can expand your network and establish valuable connections.
Awards Ceremony (6.30 PM - 9:00 PM AEDT)
The awards ceremony will recognise and celebrate those in the industry who are pioneering positive change. Winners and finalists will have the opportunity to share success stories, inspirations, and challenges in their endeavours.
