Our response to COVID-19

13 March 2020

APCO takes the health and safety of Members and stakeholders seriously at all times.

Due to the rapid developments regarding the COVID-19 strain of coronavirus (COVID-19), many Members have advised APCO they are no longer able to travel to attend APCO events, working groups and meetings in person. In light of this APCO wishes to advise that we will be implementing the following policy - APCO Coronavirus Policy.

In addition to the APCO Coronavirus Policy, we will be modifying the format of our APCO workshops and advisory groups to allow everyone to participate in this important, collaborative work. We are currently working to facilitate options for virtual working group meetings for advisory groups, Member reporting and other regular APCO engagement activities. This may mean that some planned meeting times will need to be shifted to accommodate these changes. Follow up emails will be sent to all participants with details for access, updated agendas and supporting information.

We are excited to continue working together and maintain our momentum towards the 2025 National Packaging Targets. We thank you for your patience and understanding in navigating this dynamic situation, and apologise for any inconveniences caused.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the APCO team at apco@packagingcovenant.org.au.
