APCO Opens Second Recycled Content Pledge Survey

Subject: Recycled Content
7 October 2020

APCO has now opened the second Recycled Content Pledge Program Survey. We have analysed results from the first survey to progress this project and responses now to this second survey will assist APCO to better understand user and market needs for recycled content in packaging. A well designed Pledge program for recycled materials will help match demand with supply of recycled materials by 2025.

This survey is particularly relevant and important for companies and entities responsible for deciding on the composition and production of packaging. This includes material suppliers, compounders, reprocessors/beneficiators of recovered materials, packaging fabricators, traders, designers and brand owners. This survey is not applicable to those involved in the transport, storage or sorting of virgin or recycled materials.

Please note by completing this survey you are NOT agreeing to a formal commitment, but providing an indicator to APCO about ideal and potential for recycled content demand and supply. There will be an opportunity for organisations to learn more and make a formal commitment in the future, and you can indicate your interest in the survey below.

This survey comprises two parts:

  1. Ideal and likely potential use of recycled content by 2025.
  2. Traceability and verification of recycled content. Responses to this section will help us shape a program to support APCO Members on verification.

The survey should take approximately 15 min to complete. We recommend you prepare information on your current and potential use of recycled content by material type by 2025 prior to beginning the survey.

Please note this survey will close on Friday, November 6th.

All data from this survey will be aggregated and anonymised before being shared. If you have any additional comments or questions please contact APCO Industry Partnership Manager, Meredith Epp at mepp@packagingcovenant.org.au
