Collaborating With Industry
APCO is working closely with more than 2,100 Member organisations from across 153 sectors to deliver the 2025 National Packaging Targets and build a circular economy for packaging in Australia.
We also run a dedicated program of sectoral projects to drive change in the areas where we can make the biggest difference. Our current priority sector projects include:
- Food and beverage
- Retail
- Wine
- Dairy
- Medical
- Horticulture industries.
Each project is underpinned by a detailed research and evidence base to:
- Understand that sector’s unique sustainability challenges,
- Build highly tailored insights, resources and solutions.
Our approach to change, utilising the Collective Impact Framework, enables us to engage each sector’s critical businesses, organisations and industry associations, and coordinate their efforts towards a common vision for sustainable packaging.
The projects are industry-led, with APCO providing the project administration, resources and expertise. This effective approach empowers industry representatives to take ownership long-term and lead the sustainable packaging change needed for their community.
In addition to our sectoral projects, our team of packaging sustainability experts also regularly attends a range of sector focused events, conferences and industry association panel and roundtables. Read more about our work with the following industries:
