SUSTAINABLE PACKAGING LEADERS AND INNOVATORS RECOGNISED IN ANNUAL APCO AWARDS

Ahead of the annual awards ceremony tonight, the Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation (APCO) has announced the winners of its 11 Industry Sector Awards, which celebrate industry leadership and innovation in sustainable packaging design.
APCO has also announced the winners of this year’s new awards category - the Highest Performing Small-to-Medium Enterprises (SME) Industry Sector Award, which recognises small businesses going above and beyond to improve their packaging.
The awards recognise APCO Members for their commitment to achieving the 2025 National Packaging Targets, through innovative packaging solutions and collaboration across the entire packaging value chain.
The winners of the Industry Sector Awards and Highest Performing SME Industry Sector Awards were determined based on Members’ Annual Reporting scores and their performance against the Packaging Sustainability Framework criteria.
The remaining award categories, including the evening’s top prize, the Sustainable Packaging Excellence Award - will be announced at the awards ceremony tonight and online tomorrow.

Each winner has showcased an incredible commitment to meeting the 2025 National Packaging Targets and it’s wonderful to see the progress we have made over the past year. “Particular congratulations must go to our new small business award winners. It’s a tough economic climate for any business to be operating in – so it's fantastic to see smaller organisations leading from the front to build a better approach to packaging here in Australia.”
