Monday 6 November 2023

The Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation’s (APCO) board is being refreshed with Jasmine Medwell replacing Fiona Baxter as a Brand Owner Representative and Alan Adams replacing Tim Welsh as a skills based director.

Fiona Baxter brought extensive expertise in corporate sustainability, retail, manufacturing, and government sectors, influencing APCO's strategies significantly since 2021. While Tim Welsh’s expertise in stewardship and plastic packaging supported the development and refinement of APCO strategies in these areas over the same period.

Alan Adams, has been appointed as Industry Association Board Director, and brings over 30 years of industry experience to APCO’s Board, previously contributing to sustainability strategies across the Asia-Pacific region with SEE (formerly Sealed Air).

Jasmine Medwell, appointed as Brand Owner Board Director, holds over two decades of expertise in circularity and sustainability transformations within multinational FMCG and retail corporations. Her leadership at Woolworths Group aligns seamlessly with APCO's objectives.

"APCO is immensely grateful for the impactful contributions Fiona Baxter and Tim Welsh, whose expertise has been instrumental in shaping our strategy. We extend our warmest appreciation for their dedication and welcome new directors, Alan Adams and Jasmine Medwell, whose wealth of experience aligns seamlessly with our commitment to driving positive change within the packaging industry.“ - Sam Andersen, Board Chair, APCO.
